Vince Lombardi, Jr.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
AUTHOR
Vince Lombardi
has a clear and inspiring message to share about the
qualities found in winners and high performance people and
organizations.
As the son of the
late Vincent T. Lombardi, one of the greatest football
coaches in the history of the sport, Vince’s early years
were spent in an atmosphere full of personal power and
achievement. As a young man, Vince earned a law degree and
maintained a private practice while serving in the
Minnesota Legislature.
In 1975, Vince made the
jump from law and politics to professional football when
he joined the Seattle Seahawks as an Assistant Executive
Director of the NFL Management Council and later, led two
United States Football League teams as President and
General Manager.
Vince is an author,
having written the book Coaching for Teamwork; Winning
Concepts for Business in the Twenty-First Century.
Vince’s enthusiasm for
growth, change and improved performance, blended with his
strong personality and first-hand knowledge of his
legendary father’s leadership and teambuilding
techniques, make for a dynamic presentation.
THE PRESENTATIONS
High Performance
People (30
minutes to a half day)
This highly
inspirational message answers the question: High
Performance People, What Do They Do and How Do They Do It?
There is no magic formula for High Performance. It’s a
process we don’t leave to chance; it’s a process we
can orchestrate. High Performance People choose to grow,
choose to change, choose to improve.
All High Performance
People, regardless of their background share a common
outlook in terms of how they perceive themselves and the
world around them. They understand that the picture they
have of themselves and others directly affects the quality
of their life.
Motivation,
Commitment and Mental Toughness (30
minutes to a half day)
There are no lazy
people, just people who don’t know what they want or how
to get it. In this presentation Vince talks about the
habits, attitudes and beliefs of a winner. How clear,
vivid, precise goals combined with commitment and mental
toughness can take you from where you are to where you
want to be.
A goal without
commitment is nothing more than a good idea. If you
can’t see your goal, you can’t commit to it. So the
question is; your goal--can you see it?--can you smell
it?--can you taste it?--can you touch it?--do you know
what it will sound like, coming down the hall?
Coaching for
Teamwork (30
minutes to a half day)
Building a team,
motivating a team, is an art, a science, a necessity.
Teambuilding is the key strategy for organizational
effectiveness as we move into the 21st century.
The coach--not a
manager, not a leader--creates a winning environment by
building trust, respect and commitment. The coach fosters
a winning attitude by engendering a vision from the bottom
up, motivating constructively and building accountability
and resiliency within the team. Now you don’t win just
this Sunday, this quarter, now you win time after time,
year after year, and that’s the real payoff for coaching
for teamwork.
